How to Hype Your Website Launch

Your new website is almost live, and I need you to hear me on this: we are not quietly dropping a link and moving on.

You just invested in something that works for your business 24/7 — attracting the right clients, communicating what you do clearly, and making you feel genuinely confident when someone asks for your website. That deserves more than one Instagram story and a prayer.

Before Launch: Start Talking

You don’t have to reveal everything at once… and honestly, you shouldn’t. A little mystery goes a long way.

In the days leading up to launch, share snippets to build suspense.

  • a blurred screenshot
  • a cropped corner of your homepage
  • a simple “I’m just really excited to show you this” story.

Better yet, talk about what wasn’t working before. Tell your audience how you invested to give them a better experience (it’s true, is it not?) — and now they’re invested in what’s next.

The only way to get noticed is to show up and talk about it. Plain and simple.

Launch Week: Keep Talking

This is where most people go quiet, and I genuinely don’t understand it.

You don’t need to post 47 times a day, but you absolutely can (and should) share it more than once without apologizing. Here’s what actually works:

  • A short screen recording scrolling through your site, people love these!
  • Highlighting your favorite page or section like it’s your firstborn
  • Telling people where to go and what to click, not just dropping a link

You’re giving people a reason to care because you did this for them. Tell them all about it.

“You can see all my services and pricing clearly laid out on my service page!” or “Incase you were wondering what my go-to coffee order is… my about page has that covered.”

After Launch: Keep Talking About It

Most of your audience didn’t see your launch post. Not because they don’t like you, but because Instagram is utter chaos and everyone has a lot going on.

So keep weaving your site into your content. Highlight one page at a time. Mention it when it’s relevant. Link to it with context. This is when your website starts showing off — when people land on it because you gave them a specific reason to.

You didn’t just get a new website. You got a tool that represents your business accurately, attracts clients who are actually a good fit, and means you never have to say “ignore that page, it’s outdated” ever again.

That era is over. This one’s better.

Site design by yours truly! Just doing what I love.
